Culmination of two days detecting at nearby road tearouts. Not as many items but did find an intact belt buckle, a nameplate with address from Lincoln Nebraska, a lipstick cover, a cog, and a diamond shaped decorative piece and a beat up 1942 silver Merc dime. And my 5 billionth spoon 😂

In science class, you always wished you could play with the microscope a little bit longer. Now that you are an adult, you actually can. Cooler and with more bang for your buck than r/telescopes, microscopy lets you do real science!

First Rotifer I believe. Little tail like structure propelling him along. Found it moving over and under a thin algae film 😍 400x AmScope. Happy I got a pretty clear view of it.

Thinking Blue Green Algae. Just got a Amscope binocular scope and using 25x eyepiece and 40x objective. So 1000x. Bought a pair of 10x and 16x for more options which arrive soon. Need a camera adapter as my phone sucks at this. Never realized how many floaters I have in my eyes…

Fabulous late night hunt at road tearout. Some old buttons, a pocket knife, two makeup compacts, pocket watch back, a really messed up spoon, thimble, cogwheels and aperture, a copper cup, hinged door, a house #3, and an aluminum token. Only 3 coins. Two clad pennies and a 1914 wheat.
