Khabib and Islam: two men everyone think are similar but absolutely different in every aspect.

This isn’t only about fighting style but life in general.

Let’s just start off with fighting style. Khabib has an amazing chin, amazing cardio, incredible jab hence he could just rush forward with no reproduction with an amazing jab, reckless head movement and a decent 1-2, taking any shots. Islam doesn’t have the cardio, chin or jab to be as aggressive hence why he got chinned early on in his career and developed a much slick striking style where he isn’t as aggressive. Khabib is super aggressive on the feet, Islam is more reserved.

Due to Khabibs aggressiveness and explosiveness, he can get takedowns much easier than Islam because he always goes forward and obstructs range, due to his explosiveness, he’s always been able to succeed double and single leg takedown and open space takedowns much more successfully due to aggressiveness and explosiveness/speed in takedown. Islam isn’t as aggressive to time and shoots takedowns like Khabib and even when he does, he’s never been as explosive to finish them, but they differ in the fact Islam has displayed far more upper body success in wrestling with judo throws, trips, cage work which Khabib has also done but Islam has shown much more since he gets in those situations. Khabib shoots for legs more, Islam uses upper body wrestling a lot more.

On the ground, Khabib likes to G&P his way to get advancements in position and open submissions while Islam uses more typical BJJ to get advancements in positions and set up submissions through advancements and threats of other submissions or just stalls. Khabib is a G&P guy while Islam is more BJJ guy.

In life, Islam has been more of the adventurous, dangerous and explorative guy like Merab while Khabib is more reserved and safe guy. For example I just saw a video of Khabib being sht scared of a snake while Islam is right next to the snake as if he owns the snake or is telling it what to do. There’s other scenarios where Islam has been the “don’t do it then you’re a pssy mindset/I only live once mindset” while Khabib has been the “I care too much about my life to do this sh*t mindset in real life”.
