Trying to survive a massacre.

Long story short, I'm in a city league that does jack shit to manage skill levels and actual leagues. League is supposed to be co-ed D league, but team I'm facing is so clearly C. They are currently undefeated and closest game they had was still a double digit difference.

My team is a mix of skill levels, with batting that's also a mixed bag. I don't think there's anything we can do to truly beat them, but I want to slow the bleeding if possible. Previous games(last season equally fucked) we got run ruled 2nd inning. Maybe sooner.   About the only thing I can think to do would be to intentionally walk some of the players. Our league requires the order to alternate between men and women, men get 2 bases on a walk. The thing is that every single one of them can hit and just about 3/4 can run.

Strategy I have in mind with empty bases would be to walk a guy, get him on 2nd, walk a girl to load 1st and then legit pitch to the next guy. Allow us a force out at any base if they hit something in field and keep the pace on our terms.

I also genuinely don't care if they want to try to then take another walk if that should happen with legit pitches.

Anybody have any experience basically just trying to survive a game?
