How tf do I get Kai's drunken confession??

I've gotten Kaidan (AIO Edition, latest version) to ask me on a date, I said yeah and now I can't get the date itself to activate. Do I have to wait a certain length of time for it to activate?

I did check the walkthrough but that just says that I have to be outdoors and/or travelling.
