Residency Readiness Self-Assessment Questionnaire

Instructions: Rate each question from 1 to 5, where:

  • 1 = Strongly Disagree
  • 2 = Disagree
  • 3 = Neutral
  • 4 = Agree
  • 5 = Strongly Agree

After completing the questions, add up your score to interpret your readiness and emotional resilience for residency.

Scoring Interpretation

  • 41-50: Strong readiness. You feel well-prepared and supported for residency, with motivation, resilience, and confidence to thrive.
  • 31-40: Moderate readiness. You’re generally ready but may benefit from extra self-care or support to maintain balance.
  • 21-30: Limited readiness. Consider assessing specific areas (e.g., stress management, support network) and exploring resources or mentorship to bolster readiness.
  • 10-20: Reevaluate readiness. It may be beneficial to discuss your feelings with a trusted mentor or mental health professional to address any significant concerns.

This assessment isn’t definitive, but it can offer insights into areas that may need support. Residency can be challenging, so it's great you’re taking time to reflect
