Was 3 months exceptionally hard??

My baby turned 3 months and suddenly hates everything. I cannot set him down, he hates being held, he is constantly unhappy. He’s always been a somewhat hard baby but around 2 months was happy and would play all day if i’d let him. But all the sudden he is crying most of the day and I feel like i’m losing my mind. Was anyone else’s baby like this?
