Am I financially ruined ???

My girlfriend just bought me a beautiful 1/48 scale f-4 Phantom II model kit with upwards of 16 different sprews. I haven’t built a kit in a year or two and am basically back to nothing in supplies except for my trusty nippers. I fear I am now financially ruined if I want to do this kit justice (I am a broke college student)😭. Any tips to save money on the build?
