Bags for men?

Hello! I am a woman looking to assist my husband in upgrading his bag lol. He has an ancient (10+ years old) adidas drawstring bag that he wears casually. It’s finally falling apart, and I want to get him a bag that he’ll like.

He uses this bag almost exclusively for an emotional support water bottle that he takes everywhere lmao. It’s a casual bag, not a backpack, so I think something on the slimmer side would be better. His style is typically more casual but never sporty, which is why this bag is an anomaly in his wardrobe. He typically wears softer knits, khaki pants, corduroy, and plaid button downs. He wears a lot of green, brown, and blue. He has a cozy, down-to-earth style. (He’s somewhere between dark and light academia.) Ideally this bag would work in warm and cool weather and be comfortable to walk around with.

I was looking at Quince, Zara, Uniqlo, and Baggu, but I wasn’t able to find anything I thought he’d like. Men’s bags seem to be either too sporty or too bulky. I’m not sure if he would go for a crossbody, but I know he’s opposed to a tote bag shape. A backpack is probably the most likely to suit his taste.
