Old league players, what keeps you playing?

Hello, I have been playing league of legends since the beginning of season 2 so it has been over 10 years for me of playing this game. I have had good and bad phases with the game, like some season I probably played 10 games total. I personally think the game could be a lot better and has a lot of missed potential by Riot, but that isnt the point of the post and beating on Riot has been done to hell at this point.

For me its the money I have put into the game, and the friends I have that still play it. I have just under 1000 skins at 999 (not even kidding) and not all of those were purchased with my own money, a large portion was from when I was a kid and got various RP cards as gifts, but probably more than half are, and it is really hard for me to justify spending that money if I quit the game.

As for my friends, I am very lucky to have a discord full of people I know both IRL and just online that play the game. If I was not in that scenario or even if just my long time duo stopped playing, I would probably not play the game anymore. No offense meant to anyone who plays solo, the game just isnt fun to me without chat communication. Now if Riot ever wanted to add team voice chat, then we could talk.

Anyway I am just kinda curious what keeps you guys around.
