JUST CURIOUS Specialty to chose if single earning in the house

Hi i have recently had a hot discussion about marriage with my family and relatives...they all thinking and suggesting to marry a medico in future otherwise ill be suffering in managing finances family expenses kids blah blah in my early 30s...as i said my partner can be HW... is it not possible to run a family even after pursuing pg or further ss/fellowships with single earning in south india?... Any seniors in this situation shed some light how you managed or knowledge about this especially if you are from south... So if possible which specialities are best to pursue not to be a broke with a family? If i asked anything silly forgive me
