Am I overreacting by not accepting a client whose dog bit one of the groomers and got fired?
Way back in August, on my first day as a bather (first day in the field), we had a husky for a deshed bath. Well... The husky bit the groomer in the arm and left a bite wound, maybe 1/5" across. Groomer fired the client after that as the husky's been handful.
Last week, a man comes in and asks if we provide brush out service. I said we do. Then I remembered it's the husky's owner. Owner claims he hasn't been brushed out since August after he's been fired as a client. The dog apparently refuses to get out of the house if he senses something off too. I suggested he take the dog to the vet or hire a mobile groomer. He says he'd rather have someone from our store to do it. I said no as we're not mobile groomers and do not offer house visits. He kept trying to push me into grooming his dog even after I said no multiple times. I stood my ground. I'm not about to get bit by a husky. He eventually left.
