on priming and finishing eva foam

im making a corset and belts + pouches out of eva foam, but i’ve never worked with this material before and i’ve got some concerns

i did a test with scraps to see how well they stick with hot glue (i cant get contact cement quick enough, so. and also, i wont be gluing much, so yk. just some details. anything that will be done with laces through holes i’ll reinforce) and then a test for paint. acrylic paint straight onto the scrap. the color was exactly what i put on it, the texture a bit odd but eh, however if i brush my finger against it the paint kinda scrapes off. figured that means it needs priming and or a finish of some sort

here i am asking for help in that regard. oh uh and also. im in the middle of hell nowhere and really dont have that much time left to finish this, so i probably cant get anything very specific (such as contact cement), if you have any more general tips, that’d be genuinely lovely <3
