CMV: It is not hypocritical to want Luigi Mangione to get the death penalty

Humanely putting a prisoner to death after giving them a fair trial is not remotely comparable to shooting a defenseless man in the back without even trying to talk to him first. If you’re gonna kill someone, you look them in the eyes. Or else you’re a coward.

And I’m not saying Brian Thompson wasn’t responsible for any deaths, or that he trekked to talk to any of his victims when denying their health claims. But shooting him in the back without even trying to talk to him first makes Luigi Mangione no better than him.
