Burlington Hyundai

Our son has been working & saving up for his first ever car purchase and I decided to go into the dealership with him for support. They had a used car in his price range for $24.5k he wanted to pay cash & avoid having to finance. We thought we’d start with offering $20k with the expectation of landing somewhere around $23.5k. The salesperson came back with the original price & offered to finance the remaining with no reduction in price so we then offered $22k after which the sales manager came over and basically berated us for trying to negotiate & not recognizing what an incredible deal it already was in a very off putting & condescending manner. It was a terribly upsetting experience overall & now we’re left wondering if we were wrong in assuming there’s ever any wiggle room in used car lot prices.
