Do homes in Portland need dehumidifiers?

Someone told me they didn’t enjoy the humidity in Portland. I thought, ‘what are they talking about, Portland’s not humid’ I guess I stand corrected. My house is 35 yrs old and on a shady hillside. Smelled horrible when I moved in-I feel like an idiot for not questioning all the room deodorizers at the open house:/ Anyy wayyy…new roof, crawl space conditioning, new carpet blah blah blah, and it finally smells ok so I’m invested in keeping it that way. Thoughts, advice, education?
