Why did they waste my time

2 months ago I went to a dealer and asked what they would buy my car for. They offered $28k. And said 29 if I traded. I did not pick a car, I did not waste anyone’s time, it was a 5 minute ordeal.

Today, I went to a different dealer and said I was ready to make a move. I told them all the information they needed and that I would like $28,500. They spent OVER and hour going back and forth to the tower, printed a carfax and told me to look at it (I know my carfax) and then finally after forever said “we can do $24k.” So I instantly left.

You all thinking I’m so stressed about the price are out of your minds. I could give two fucks. I’m more annoyed they made me wait over an hour to tell me $24k when I went in and said… “hey my guy, I don’t want to waste your time or mine, I will finance with y’all, my credit is good, I want $28.5 for my car and then we can go find one that works.”
