2018 MacBook Issues

Hey everyone,

I’m having some frustrating issues with my 2018 MacBook and could really use some guidance.

Issue 1: Battery Appears Dead After Sleep Mode Whenever I put my MacBook to sleep for the night or even just for a day, it seems to completely drain the battery. When I open it up, it says the battery is dead and needs to be plugged in. But as soon as I connect the charger, it instantly powers up and shows a high battery percentage, often around 80-90%. It’s confusing and inconvenient.

Issue 2: Rapid Battery Drain When using the MacBook on battery power, the battery percentage doesn’t gradually decrease. Instead, it drops sharply—for example, from 83% to 50%, then from 50% to 30%, and then it dies within an hour or two. This is really frustrating, especially since I had the batteries replaced by Apple about a year to a year and a half ago, and my battery health still shows as “normal.”

Issue 3: Slow Performance and Wi-Fi Problems My MacBook has also become really slow when opening tabs and loading web pages. Even though it shows that it’s connected to Wi-Fi, the internet is incredibly slow, taking forever to load a single page. I’ve tried running the wireless diagnostics and restarting the MacBook, which temporarily fixes the issue, but it keeps coming back.
