Will X-Men ‘97 help get these characters more popularity?

I know Gambit and Mister Sinister are popular among the X-Men and Marvel comics fans, but do you think X-Men ‘97 will influence filmmakers to finally put them in the movies as main characters? Gambit had a minor role in X-Men: Origins but that was it for him. Mister Sinister hasn’t even appeared in live action yet. Do you think X-Men ‘97 will finally make them popular enough to make the other shows and movies give them more attention?
