What made you get the surgery?

How do I know I need a tonsillectomy? I have spit out tonsil stones many times before. I get colds really easy, I used to pride myself for never being sick, and I still havent been to the doctor in like a decade or more. Now if I drive my car with the windows down, cold the next day. Forget to dry my hair, go outside after a shower and some wind blows on me, I catch a cold. My nose will get really stuffy and runny, constantly sneeze. I eat normally, my throat is not sore, tho the tonsils feel itchy.

If I lay down I cant breath well through my nose. It is better if I am sitting or standing, but I can feel my nose doesnt have the capacity. If I pull the skin I can feel much more air come through. Like I have an infection and something is swollen preventing good air flow?

I no longer drink anything cold or carbonated, or I get sick and start spitting stones.

I just want to stop getting sick and be able to breath at night. Now nose spray before bed, so I can sleep with my mouth closed. One nostril is definitely better than the other.

If I exercise/ride my bicycle my nose gets really unplugged, I can breath extremely well and smell a lot more.
