Types of nursing
Hey guys,
I’m a newly accepted nursing student and I’m extremely excited to start school! But I also am a high functioning autistic person and have always been told I’m awkward, without knowing why (until being diagnosed this year). As far as I know, nursing usually requires lots of interaction with people. I don’t mind that, but I’d prefer a type of nursing more suited for an introvert. I hear people say there are TONS of different types of nursing and you can choose a path that’s less “people” oriented, but I have no idea what kinds of nursing they are referring to.
I was hoping some experienced nurses could help people like me, more on the awkward/shy/introverted side, learn about types of nursing that we may be interested in.
Also, if it’s any help at all, I absolutely love histology and anatomy, to the point where I almost wanted to become a pathologist or pathologists assistant. But I don’t believe there’s any nursing in pathology since all the patients are.....dead. :|
Thanks for any help!
