I believe that the jedi's dogmatic view of emotions and ties will always lead to emotional sociopathic behavior or lead people to the path of darkness.
Let me explain jedi are not machines or emotionless warriors. They are people like you and me but with the ability to move the force around us. The moment you accept that is the moment you realize just how tough it is to be a jedi. A movement that expects you to surrender everything that makes you who you are as well as ignoring your emotions for the sake of being the keepers of peace. That means:
No marriages or personal relationships
No desires or personal goals
Admitting thoughts of fears can get you side eyes and neglected behaviors from your masters
You can't have family
Any ties you had will be severed
And any emotional guidances you seek will be in the form of demands to ignore them never to deal with them
So you become this blank canvas. Nothing to remind you of who you were, what you wanted, what you believed, what you wish or what you loved...you are only a jedi down to your core. Stripped of any humanity. With that in mind comes an easily corruptable person. Cause let's be honest... what stops you from harming people or what encourages you to fight against injustice?:
Your humanity
The people you love and connect with
The fear of losing the people you love
The essence of where you come from and the loving parents that raised you.
The mistakes we made in learning that it's ok to make em
The fight that we must make in against our inner demons not ignoring them.
That's why you have sith that were once jedi do a complete 180 as if they suffer from multiple personality disorder. Inorder to deal with that trauma some people create alter egos to escape accountability, pain, anxiety and stress. We are faced with darkness every day but we get through it by being there for eachother, by reminding ourselves as to why we fight for what we believe in and to be the example that we wish to set for.
