What did Italy contribute to Somalia during colonialism? I always see reports about the British but never the Italian side. Were they better or worse?

I wonder if there were tribes that fought with the Italians during WW2. I’m like 99% sure that Italians and British used Somalis and Ethiopians as pawns during the East African campaign in WW2. The only reason the British won, is because they had no problem through 1,000s of Indians into the frontline.
