Runna x NYC Marathon

Has anyone purchased Runna through NYRR when claiming your marathon entry? This is my first ever marathon and would like help with my training but curious what purchasing the app subscription is like via NYRR (member price of $125) vs just buying the yearly subscription on my own through the app ($120). Is the marathon training specific to NYC, hence the extra $5? lol
