DR Horton Sales rep

I'm considering a job with DR Horton as a sales agent for one of their new neighborhoods. I am not currently a realtor, but I do work in the industry. If I am offered the position, I will take it (with my current employment situation it's a no brainer even if it's not the best gig in the world). My question I'd like to ask is if I stay with the company for a few years to gain some good experience, what options am I left with to move up, in particular outside the company. What jobs and other career paths will I find myself seeking out for more $$$? Will my experience as a sales agent for DR be valued if try to move to another company? -Southeastern US region.
