Back to multiple choice exams

I'm so tired of reading AI-generated garbage this semester that for spring I'm going old school with in-class, multiple choice exams. Online classes will use lockdown browser and record students while taking tests.

I worked very hard over several years to ditch exams and to develop fun, creative, and applied assignments for students, but thanks to the AI revolution, I can no longer justify these assignments.

The good news is that grading will be a snap. The bad news is that an entire generation of students will miss out on all of these alternative projects and be stuck taking exams.

Not going to lie, I'm kind of mad I spent about ten years designing and grading projects when I could have done multiple choice exams all along if this is where we were going to end up, anyway.
