Lack of touchpad

So what is the opinion on the lack of dedicated touchpad? Has only been a big deal in Far Cry 6 but seems hit or miss. Have had nothing but an awesome experience so far but just wondered what y’all thought about it? BTW, wish I had gotten this sooner. Playing a lot more.
