Battlezoo Snowsoul Review

February brings the Snowsoul Ancestry from Battlezoo. Like before, no mention of Lore.

You are a Fey of Ice and Snow. Everything is about Cold and Snow. You get resistance to cold damage, and a paragraph explaining your unique interaction with the Hot and Cold Weather severity levels. So you can walk around in shorts while your party is trying not to freeze their butts off.

This Ancestry also comes with a new Condition (Though I may have forgotten it being in another Battlezoo Product), that shares a name with a Movie that is referenced heavily in the Feats. The Frozen Condition gives a Speed Penalty equal to 5x the Frozen Value. You or another creature can use an action to remove up to Frozen 4. The Fire Trait allows up to 5.

Heritages interact with the Frozen condition, which you actually can accumulate on yourself through various actions and feats.

Blizzard Heritage allows you to see in conditions that would normally conceal creatures, as long as it's related to Snow. IF you're Frozen you gain an AC Bonus against Physical Ranged Attacks.

Ice gives you armor, which gets better stats as you freeze.

This is true for all of the Heritages. Get trait, and it gains bonuses for how Frozen you become.

Feats are all about Snow, Ice, Cold and what you do with it. Imagine characters that use Ice, and you'll have a good idea about these feats. Freezing the ground, dealing cold damage, as well as making ice to defend. Also Elsa... There are a lot of references to Let it go in this.

Also, this Ancestry has an Interaction with the Eldamon Product that Battlezoo has. Yes, the 9th level Feat Avatar of Ice can't be taken if you already have the Elemental Avatar Archetype from Eldamon.

If you're going through a frozen tundra in your Campaign, then this Ancestry is going to thrive. Just be aware of the Frozen Condition. I may have missed something, but the Snowsoul is not immune to the Speed Penalty. If you get too cold, see if your Party has someone with the Fire Trait on them. That can reduce the condition by 5 instead of 4. Or have a Spellcaster with a Fire Spell as that removes 4 regardless of if it causes damage or not.

If anyone thinks I should cover the other Ancestries Roll for Combat has lovingly crafted, instead of just doing this monthly review I have planned, comment if you want to see it.
