Sickness before my first Half Marathon
Hi All,
I've never run a Half Marathon before and I am currently signed up for a local half marathon for this coming Sunday. Over the last week I was in Florida on vacation and was able to put in two easy runs during the week as part of my taper. Since Friday I have come down with some sinus infection and haven't worked out since. I'm back home now and still trying to get better. Still coughing up phlegm and blowing nose. With that said, did I lose any fitness over the past few days of docile sickness? Should I do anything different in preparation for this race? All advice is welcome. Thank you
