I lost respect for my LCS

I use to go to many MTG releases and tournaments at this particular shop. Spent $1000s there. Brought friends who spent money there and even gave them glowing reviews all the time on every platform I could..... then Lorcana came out.

I know many others have a very similar experience, but I just wanted to express how sour I am with my local card shop.

They cancelled everyone's pre orders except their own and their employees. They then took those pre orders, and put them on the shelf for $400+ and then said UPS lost half their shipment. (lie)

Look up their shop on TCG player, they are cleary selling there. So, I go back to the store with a different attitude and mindset. I walk in and already talk about "flipping my cards from boosters"

I don't. I have all my cards and play with my fiance.

They then start talking buddy buddy to me from a scalper point of few. This is when I find out. They got not 1. But 2 shipments in of over 30 boxes, each shipment. And sold them to only their employees or on TCGplayer.... example. They sold 5 Enchanted Elsa's so far. This doesn't include all the other enchanteds.

They put 2 boxes for sale on their counter, $400.

This is why the other card distribution companies don't give LCS first dibs. They are scaleprs first, who, when they can't sell something, pray on their community as backup. However, when something sells fast, they hang the finger to even their whales. I spent a lot over the years and will now gladly hand Target/Walmart/Best Buy my cash instead for Lorcana product instead.

Sorry for the rant, but Lorcana showed how most local businesses are crashing for a reason ... lack of passion back to their community. Why support something that won't support you?
