What’s the noise level etiquette at the children’s section?
I have a 13 month old and we visit our local library once a week. She’s definitely discovered her voice and gets the urge sometimes to scream or yelp to show her excitement. Sometimes other patrons give us “a look.”
When I was growing up, it was a must to be quiet at the public and school library. Now I see that the children’s sections have puzzles/board games for kids to play. A lot times they sprawl out on the floor and the noise level is not quiet. Is this the new norm?
Once she starts to understand, I feel like I should still be teaching my daughter to keep the noise level down. Thoughts?
