keefe sencen appreciation post (part 3)
✨️No need to apologize. It's nice to know the Mysterious Miss F. cares✨️
Everblaze is the first book that begins with a Keefe line. And I'm so here for it! You know it's going to be a good book when Keefe happens to be in the first sequence of the book.
I always knew Sokeefe had a connection because of Silveny. Just the fact that Keefe and Sophie are the only two people who actually understand her. And Keefe using every opportunity to make Sophie aware of this is hilarious!
Hearing about Keefe manifesting for the first time was so nice. But now after Unlocked, Stellarlune and Unraveled, I just feel so bad for him.
Gisela is introduced. Who knew she'd turn out to be the MAIN VILLAIN. I used to think Keefe would maybe like Gisela more than Cassius but they're the same.
Keefe wanting the Black Swan to rhyme their messages is honestly one of the best parts of this book.
I had to include my favourite quotes from this book:
S- That...actually makes sense. K- Of course it does. I'm a genius. That's why you keep me around. Well, that and my stunning good looks.
S- You're hopeless, you know that? K- Not as long as I have you. Fix me, Foster. You're my only hope.
K- Next time you almost kill a Councillor, can I be there?
Major part of this book- Keefe actually becoming friends with Sophie. Before this, I always thought that he might just like her because she's special and powerful (uhm..Fitz..uhm), but in this book we saw them become genuine friends.
I feel so bad for Keefe about the whole aromark situation. I hate that his parents used their so-called pride against Keefe through the Sencen Crest.
I LOVED the detention scenes. They were absolutely amazing. The Lady Cadence musk-tanging was HILARIOUS.
The trap set by the Black Swan was so sad because I think at that point I'd been sure that Keefe is definitely either a traitor or is being used by someone. And I hated it. Because Keefe is my favourite character, I was like- if he turns out to be the villain I will literally switch sides.
Keefe finding out about his dad (or mom as we'll find out soon enough) was the saddest thing ever. The fact that he would have to do hiding and sneaking around an empath who has bullied him his entire life is just so bad.
The final fight was... something. Keefe's world literally upturned. But I love the fact that he still pulled himself together and decided to be there for Sophie when she had to leave.
Feel free to add something to this in the comments!
