How long does low priority queue last?

Asking this question over here in hopes that people actually take it seriously.

I got kicked from two games back to back due to spotty internet, and now I’m in “low priority queue.” What does this mean? I’ve been in queue for over 20 minutes now and found no matches, so it’s starting to get frustrating. Is there a time limit on this? Should I just go play something else for a day and then come back? How can I see my team’s jg diff in chat if I can’t get into a game?
