Are there variations where Gardiners are super rich in secret?

I remember that one where Mr. Gardiner owns a pawn shop for aristocrats and half of London, plus there are some variations where Mrs. Gardiner inherits estates or titles (which then go to her son) and in some Shana Granderson's books he is so very rich and Bennets, too.

But are there other versions where Gardiners are very rich and not one soul knows they are rich? For security or because aristocrats treat them badly or a bad Mrs. Bennet demands money a the time so they hide in plain sight?

Anything?

I'm not looking for a certain book, just curious if such variation exists at all.
