What should be the consequence if we lose Super Earth

So in HD1 it was absolutely possible to lose the war. I was wondering. What should the consequences be if that ever happened (not that it ever would, I have complete faith in managed democracy).

I was thinking something like your ship modules and any stratagems purchased with requisition slips to be reset but anything unlocked through warbonds and medals to leave untouched.
