Beard Donor Over-harvested?

Hi all,

I got a hair transplant a few days ago for my scalp and ended up having to use some beard grafts. This included some grafts from the part of my beard above the jaw. The surgeon assured me, however, that the end result would not look very noticeable as they would extract the grafts far apart.

I’m now 4 days post-op and I’m a little worried that the section of my beard I’ve circled in the attached pics may have been over-harvested. It appears as though there’s a noticeable bald spot in the area, which isn’t present in other parts of the beard that were harvested and which wasn’t there before. I know shock loss is common in a donor area after a transplant, but from what I’ve seen online it usually doesn’t kick in for a couple of weeks. I’m currently only 4 days post-op.

Can anyone advise if this looks normal at this stage? Am I freaking out over nothing? Thanks 🙏🏼
