Am I screwed? SOS
Update: Thankyou everyone for your help! I would have never known what to do. I was able to go into my financial aid office and was told I had to redo my form with that I would have to include my parent since I am under the age of 25, once processed then I could submit an appeal about a dependency override. It seemed like they really didn't want to talk about that option but I pushed anyway and was told I would have to do that after my application with my parent was processed but that if I was turning 24 this year I could have filed independently. So well see I plan to go back again just to verify.
I am freaking out, I know there have been issues going on with the FASFA form but I'm afraid I might have done it wrong and cannot change it. Long story short I am independent from my parents but was told by my school I have to add a parent to my form since I am under the age of 25 (I'm 22). So I was able to get ahold of my dad and he did it, my aid is now in the drain and I will owe for the upcoming semesters. I brought this up to my school about how my father doesn't support me and I am self-financed, they told me there's not much they can do. My form already says processed...so I went in after reading other people's suggestions and corrected it removing my dad's information. Am I screwed? I genuinely can't afford to pay what they want me and I don't know what to do. Please help, thankyou.
