How to be both consistent and aggressive? (How to go from novice to intermediate?)

I’m nearly to 6m koen and have 8m storage value. I finally paid for the advanced battle pass - mostly for the comfortability of lower gear fear and options. I’m all over deke for flipping gear and getting new gear on the regular.

Now that I have a steady stream of weapons and high end armor, and can pay for ammo, I’d like to actually improve my play style and git good.

Maining northridge Tac Ops rn to finish contact missions - and I really love the map. can handle myself at distance against solos for the most part, and bots/scavs are usually not a problem, but risking a 155k kit in tac ops isn’t worth whatever loot I get. Playing solo I move very slow and either miss out on loot, or have to sprint to cover ground and get caught by an operator. Playing with randoms, I tend to get to loot spawns too late.

Been experimenting with M4 builds and A1, but I feel like I’m breaking even most of the time with the ammo cost. And A1 seems super inconsistent - like it could could take half a mag to clear a couple bots.

I’m having trouble balancing between playing smart and playing assertively. How many goals should I focus on per raid? How do I know when to bail and move to extract? Can anyone offer suggestions for setting goals/approaching raids that can help? Is tac ops even worth playing? And what is a “budget” kit in lockdown?
